4 days of food
I have four days worth of VEGGIEtarian grub here, so let’s get crackin’.
My baby is sleeping and I have limited amount of time before I must hit the hay too. This post will be as quick as I can make it.
3 days of breakfast:
Sunday:
My darling PB and banana wrap.
I have been cutting my Clif bars into 4 pieces (1 point pieces) so that I can sample all flavors without being stuck with one bar.
FYI, I have decided that there is no such thing as a bad Clif bar flavor.
Monday breakfast:
Light english muffin with Dark chocolate dreams.
Tuesday breakfast:
3 days of lunches:
Sunday:
Spinach salad topped with these yummy Salad Toppins thing-a-muh-gigs. I also lightly sautéed some carrots and cabbage to throw in.
There are some pieces in this stuff that looks VERY much like bacon bits. But I carefully read the ingredients list several times, and it is nothing more than soy. Whew! I really like that stuff and I was glad I didn’t have to give it up.
With the salad I had a baked potato. That interesting concoction covering said potato is a heavenly little mixture of light Velveeta and salsa.
I know what you’re going to say.
Velveeta? That’s not healthy.
Well, no, it’s not. You’re right.
But….
Have you tasted it?
It a big orange log of processed wonder.
And there’s only one point in one ounce.
Be prepared… you’re going to see it a few more times in this post.
Monday lunch:
That is a boca on a wrap. On the wrap with the boca is the Velveeta and salsa mixture.
I am not ashamed.
I like big orange logs of wonder.
Tuesday lunch was eaten in the car:
2 PB and banana sandwiches.
3 days of dinner:
Sunday:
Boca, spinach, wrap, and guess what else?
Yep.
Orange wonder.
Monday dinner:
Only ate half.
Just wasn’t feelin it.
Maybe I have been spoiled by orange wonder?
Tuesday dinner:
Canned vegetable minestrone soup.
The ENTIRE can was 2 points.
Count that.
One.
Then two.
Only 2 points.
I love it.
3 days of snacks:
Sunday:
Monday snacks:
Tuesday snacks:
Total points on Sunday: 26. 5 over daily limit.
Total points on Monday: 23. 2 over daily limit.
Total points on Tuesday: 21. Right on target.
So, I wanted the food I had today to have it’s own category since I did a couple of different things that turned out FAB.
Breakfast:
A bloggie common: oatmeal pancake.
I’ve seen it a few times, and quite was curious.
Today I was itching for something new, so I gave it a go.
The batter: 1/2 cup of oatmeal, 1 egg, 3 TBSP canned pumpkin, 1/4 cup skim milk, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1 TBSP sugar.
NOTE: I decided that this does not need the 1/4 cup of milk. The pumpkin and egg is plenty of moisture.
Topped with half a banana and MaraNatha.

It was good!!! Though a little point heavy.
Lunch:
I needed to balance out the heavy breakfast with a lighter lunch, so I had more canned soup.
Tasty and low point.
Killing myself with sodium and msg, one can at a time. YAY!!!!
My dinner was sooo good.
First, I roasted some zucchini and a potato at 350 for about 20-30 minutes. It was coated in salt, pepper, paprika, and non-stick cooking spray.
Once that was done, I made a boca patty, which I cut into wedges to match my veggies.
Then I put everything (well, not all the veggies would fit) onto a big wrap with ROASTED RED PEPPER HUMMUS.
Behold, the new orange wonder:
Holy Mother of God, that stuff is good!
And it is only 1 point for 2 tbsp! Ekkkk!
My wrap was seriously as good as it looks. I have already decided to have it again tomorrow.
Okay, several hours later, I had to have my trusty PB and banana on a wrap because I hadn’t had it today and I felt deprived. I shouldn’t have eaten it, but I did. I had guilt afterwards.
Total points today: 26.
5 over.
I’m pretty happy with my dieting the last few days.
2 more things……….
1.
Behold the perfection:
That beautiful little bundle plays a very important role in my sanity and happiness.
2.
Sleep medication for babies.
If you have a cranky baby that is tired, but refuses to relax and sleep, just play this song.
(Music doesn’t start until 0:20.)
It takes my baby about 20 seconds to go from screaming bloody murder to this…..
I have executed this maneuver several times over the last few days. It works almost instantly every time. He’s snoring before the song is half over.
It make me incredibly happy that the kid likes MJ. It means I can keep him.

You inspire me. I have been cheating with my measuring. Who says you really need to measure parmesan cheese, just shake the container violently and what comes out…comes out. That’s been my theory. Anyhoo, you didn’t say anything specifically about measuring, but you are careful with your points. That’s how you inspire me.
Confession: I have a tendency to be less careful than I should when measuring peanut butter. This occured to me yesterday and I have vowed to stop that. Peanut butter is something that a person has to be *VERY* careful with. Other than that little misstep, I am pretty darn careful. Or at least, I try to be. Somes days are better than others.
He falls asleep to MJ,that is so wonderful.I love it.
I love your blog,it inspires me to keep eating healthy and not to give up on keeping the meat out of my diet knowing there’s decent food out there to eat.
I’m glad my blog keep you inspired. Sometimes I feel like no longer doing the daily food blogging thing, but when you and my sister say it inspires you, it motivates me to keep going. I like that I can help.
Loving you blog… vay funny
Thank you. I appreciate that.
